Seo Jei Embarks on New Journey as a Versatile Artist
Singer and musical actress Seo Jei has signed an exclusive contract with SM C&C, marking a fresh start in her multifaceted career.

SM C&C stated on April 21, “We are thrilled to be working with Seo Jei, an artist known for her delicate emotional depth and powerful vocals. We will provide full support so she can broaden her activities across various fields.”
Seo Jei debuted in 2008 with the single “I Hate Love” and has since participated in numerous albums and drama OSTs, building a reputation as a vocalist who heals emotions through music.
In 2017, she gained widespread recognition on tvN’s “Shadow Singer”, captivating both judges and viewers with her clear high notes and expressive voice.
She further impressed audiences on KBS2’s music competition show “Immortal Songs”, delivering emotional renditions of hits like Jin Sung’s “Andong Station”, Patti Kim’s “Light and Shadow”, and Jung Tae-chun & Park Eun-ok’s “To the One I Love”. Her compelling performances earned her the nickname “Korea’s Celine Dion.”
In addition to her music career, Seo Jei has been active on stage. She previously starred in musicals such as “When a Man Loves” and “The Song of Hero Ondal”.
Currently, she plays the role of Hyun-sook in the dance musical “Moonlight”, which portrays the stories and dreams of top stars who graced Korea’s iconic 1990s club scene.
The production is touring cities across Korea, including Yeongju, Geochang, Uiryeong, Osan, Seongju, and Seosan.
With her proven talent in singing, acting, and stage performance, Seo Jei is expected to create new synergy under SM C&C’s management.
She joins a star-studded roster that includes Kang Ho-dong, Jun Hyun-moo, Seo Jang-hoon, Jang Do-yeon, Han Suk-joon, Kim Soo-ro, and Lee Hak-joo.
