“Only Happy Memories” – Choi Yoon-ra on Her Time with Chunhwa Romance
Actress Choi Yoon-ra has shared her thoughts following the full release of the TVING original series “The Tale of Chunhwa Romance.”

Choi played the role of “Heeryeon,” a strong-willed woman in the fictional kingdom of Dongbangguk.
Through this character, she showcased a wide emotional spectrum—ranging from boldness and sincerity to heartfelt love and emotional goodbyes—capturing the multidimensional charm of Heeryeon with depth and sensitivity.
In a statement through her agency Fantagio, Choi said, “I’ve always longed for the chance to take on a historical drama, and I’m so grateful that I was able to do that with ‘The Tale of Chunhwa Romance.’
Since it was my first time acting in this genre, there were many challenges and areas where I felt lacking, but thanks to the support of the director, staff, and fellow actors, we were able to create beautiful scenes together.”
She continued, “From hot summer days to cold winter shoots, the long filming schedule wasn’t always easy, but I’m sincerely thankful that we were able to wrap up safely.
Every moment I spent as part of ‘The Tale of Chunhwa Romance’ left me with only warm and happy memories.”
Choi Yoon-ra made her debut in the 2017 JTBC drama “Untouchable” and has steadily built a solid career with standout roles in works like “My Unfamiliar Family” and “Love is for Suckers.”
With each project, she has consistently impressed audiences with her ability to embody diverse characters.
