aespa Dominates the Charts with Solo Tracks Ahead of Comeback
aespa has ignited excitement for their upcoming comeback with their new mini-album, Whiplash.
The group’s solo tracks from their second concert, released on October 9, have taken the charts by storm both in South Korea and internationally.
The special digital single SYNK : PARALLEL LINE includes four solo songs, with UP (KARINA Solo) topping the real-time charts on Bugs and hitting No.1 on Melon’s TOP100 and HOT100. Other solo tracks, including Dopamine (GISELLE Solo), Bored! (NINGNING Solo), and Spark (WINTER Solo), have also secured high chart positions.
These tracks have also gained international attention. They reached No.1 on the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 16 regions, including New Zealand, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Indonesia, while placing second on the Worldwide Albums Chart, just behind Coldplay.
In China’s QQ Music and Japan’s AWA real-time charts, aespa’s solo songs claimed the top four spots. Additionally, aespa’s first full album Armageddon continues to rank high, holding 4th place on the Tencent Music K-pop chart.
With the surprise release of these solo tracks, aespa has once again proven their explosive popularity.
On October 11, they heightened anticipation for their comeback by dropping a highlight medley of their upcoming mini-album Whiplash, giving fans a sneak peek of the new tracks.
aespa’s new mini-album Whiplash will be released on October 21 at 6 PM (KST) across all music platforms, with the physical album also becoming available on the same day.
